Nice main house, staff cooperative-...

Liked: The main building itself was really nicely decorated. The staff were fantastic- really helpful and understanding. One member of staff in particular was fantastic, as she seemed to be single-handedly manning everything at one point!
Disliked: We had booked a family room, which transpired not to be in the main building, but in an annex round the corner and down an alley. The entry was dark and needed a good sweep as there were multiple cobwebs and dust.Upon entry the smell of damp was overwhelming. They team had tried to do something with the landing area, but using clustered lighting, diffusers and a plush sofa. The family room itself was life a prison. Tiny windows that only opened about 4 inches and backed directly into a Thai restaurant. The decor was bare, with cheap kitchen worktop used as a dressing board and off cuts used as side tables for the double bed. The only source of light was the main over head light - no table lamps. There wasn’t a TV in the main sleeping area, only a tiny one next door in the kids room. The kids room was equally dreary. The room smelled of damp, but also of sour milk - which we tracked down to the fridge. Although empty and clean, the fan was pumping out an awful smell. The management removed the fridge to try and alleviate this, but to no avail. The bathroom was small, and in dire need of some mold and mildew remover! After a few trips to speak with the management, we decided not to stay and luckily lived near enough to make the journey home that night. The management were really understanding and gave a full refund.

Just about Ok, but....

Liked: Great location. Good parking(pre-booked)OK breakfast
Disliked: Room was a bit tired, needs some attention. 1 window was sellotaped shut. But, the most off putting thing was the huge 'skid- mark' in the toilet pan which had been left to greet us!
