A simply wonderful stay in...

Liked: The room was exceptional and the hotel itself, absolutely charming. We stayed for 2 nights and could have quite happily stayed for much longer (and will do next time!). The pool area was perfect and the spa & massage rooms were lovely, we had a fantastic massage. We had a light lunch one day which was delicious, although slightly on the expensive side. The walk into Bath centre is scenic, via the park and the crescent and takes only about 25 minutes or a 5 minute taxi. Simply wonderful.
Disliked: Nothing!

Disliked: The mirror in dressing room was too high on the wall for any use.

Comfortable cosy autumn break in...

Liked: Extremely welcoming staff. Beautiful grounds.
Disliked: Damp marks in room, shower missing part of casing so looked quite scruffy. Breakfast took over an hour to arrive one morning without any real explanation. Spa looked very untidy every time we went with big containers of unfolded towels/laundry lying around.

Pleasant and convenient luxury hotel...

Liked: Staff were very attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Spa facility was very good. Breakfast excellent. Main reception /lounge areas fitted and furnished to a very high standard with some interesting art works. Attention to detail. Effortless stay.
Disliked: Nothing that spoilt our stay but some small comments:Room carpet had marks that had not been removed. Some noise from deliveries and doors closing at front of hotel in classic rooms. Dining informally in the Pantry was not to our liking - lots of small plates that have to be ordered to make a meal. Did not experience the formal fine dining.
