Elegant stay

Liked: Garden was beautiful, breakfast was great, terrific cocktails, comfortable room with lovely toiletries. Hotel is also a very short walk to the nearby hop on hop off bus service.
Disliked: First impressions were tainted at check in due to the staff member being focused on attending to the people named as booking the room but totally ignoring my wife (who actually booked the rooms). From then on however, staff were wonderful - particularly the young woman who looked after us each day at breakfast.

Loved the hotel

Liked: The hotel and gardens were beautiful.
Disliked: Meal orders were a little hit and miss.For example breakfast with one type of egg and they brought the wrong one.Silly things like that but it happened more than once.

It was fine.

Liked: Had all required facilities. Not too far from station.
Disliked: Quite crowded.

Exceptional

A really enjoyable relaxing stay...

Liked: All staff are excellent, extremely welcoming.We were upgraded to the Bridal Suite which is lovely.The food was of an excellent quality. We particularly loved the breakfast and the small plates option. We were fortunate to have lovely weather so really enjoyed sitting outside.
Disliked: Whilst there is a notice warning that the towel rail can get very hot, despite being careful my wife had a nasty burn from an accidental brush. The heat should be lowered.I was also surprised that there wasn't a fridge in the room.

Restful and special

Liked: The hotel is beautiful. The terrace and garden are stunning and our room was luxurious. It felt very special.
Disliked: Our room was far too hot as the heating was on, on a hot sunny day, which meant we didn’t sleep very well even after turning off the radiator and opening the windows. Everything else was excellent.
