The hotel accommodations and staff were much better than I anticipated. I will definitely stay there again the next time I travel to Tampa.

Liked: We went to the Straz Center the evening on our arrival, which was a short walk there, and a short walk back after the show. The next morning we took a longer walk along the river to the North, ending up at the Armature Works factory and warehouse, since converted to house small dining options.Our room on the 12th floor was facing the river. We enjoyed watching the boat traffic. The room was very quiet, never hearing anything during the night.
Disliked: Nothing stands out in a negative way about the hotel. If we decide to stay downtown again, it will be at the Barrymore.

Liked: Location is great, very clean with excellent towels and comfortable beds. Breakfast has good opti/price. Easy parking at a good price.
Disliked: It's not as up scale as we would have preferred but given the competitive rates, no complaints. Could do a better job landscape pool area.

Older building, great location.

Liked: Really great staff, quick and easy check in. It was quiet at night and easy to sleep. Having the shuttle service was a happy surprised. They do drop off/pick up within two miles. The restaurant in the lobby was decent and very fairly priced. The property needs some love. They have been painting the walls over and over and over without prepping them. There are areas where they are adding paint over rust and damage without fixing anything. The building is rough in general but clean.
