Stylish, centrally located, friendly hotel...

Liked: The Barnett is just fabulous. We had a brilliant 3 day stay here. Fantastic staff, gorgeous rooms, bar, cafe, rooftop pool.
Disliked: Threadbare carpets on the walkway between the two buildings were surprising. Everywhere else was immaculate.

The stay was okay, other...

Liked: The cleanliness of the hotel was good. The concierges were kind and knowledgeable.
Disliked: Check-in was horrible. The receptionist screwed up the reservations and kept telling me I was going to be charged for 2 rooms when I only had an active reservation for one room. The other reservation had been canceled days prior. She also wanted to charge me the higher rate room, the one I canceled. I had to bend over backwards to defend myself in writing with the cancelled room I made with Hotels.com. She wanted emails of the cancelation. She made checking in uncomfortable, embarrassing, and stressful. It really was an ugly encounter. You can tell those people behind the counter don't want to be there. They should clean the slate and hire folks that actually like coming into work, specifically Tyesha Askew. She needs to be trained on proper customer service during the check-in process and not being so combative.

Disliked: Nothing, it was all great.

Pool on the roof was...

Liked: Great location. Street parking is cheaper than valet. Free street on Sundays. Great overall!
