Had a wonderful four nights...

Liked: Location is ideal; walking distance to theaters, restaurants, shops but very quiet and no street noise. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and the temperature control was very easy to understand - not complicated like some hotels. Also, never had a problem with the card key entry to the elevator and room.
Disliked: There was a very nice balcony with two chairs but the chairs could have used a good cleaning; very dusty with visible cob webs.

Liked: Decent breakfast. Would love less packaging- is it necessary to have hard boiled eggs in plastic? Eggs come in their own packaging - shells!
Disliked: My only complaint is that we found chocolate candy under the nightstand from the last guests. We had a dog with us and paid extra for that. Chocolate is deadly to dogs and my dog sniffed it out and was trying to eat it before I luckily found it.

Liked: Location is great; loved the staff - they went the extra mile. Room was fine.
Disliked: The room is up a large flight of stairs and then with several smaller sets of stairs. Difficult to negotiate with luggage and needed help from the excellent staff. Price was a bit high for a fairly basic room, but seems standard in Ashland.

Liked: It was run down and very expensive for the state of the hotel. Wall paper was peeling off the walls!
Disliked: The front desk person was not helpful at all
