Lovely

Liked: Clean and comfortable, right next to the Barbican, which was perfect for us. Friendly staff and parking 3 minutes away by foot. Lovely boutique hotel.
Disliked: A couple of minor gripes: loose toilet roll holder and it would be handy to have usb ports by bedside rather than on dressing table but this did not affect our stay.

Pleasant

Liked: Located in the city, yet close to 2 subway stations.Nice bar and welcoming staff. Single rooms have a nice and spacious bathroom with bath.
Disliked: Avoid the single rooms in the back of the property. The single rooms are vaulted and small and dark. Beds are very small. No 5-star feel at all, alas. To leave the building, you need to push a button and wait for someone to open it. I work in a prison and it feels a lot like it.

Liked: My first night I was given a tiny room, which was unsatisfactory. The front desk was very gracious about changing my room to a larger, more comfortable one. Breakfast was very nice.
Disliked: I was a bit shocked by the dimensions of the first room. It was absurdly small and the bed was strangely high up off the floor.

Liked: Super friendly staff! Nice location, really well maintained. Rooms are bit 'dated' but comfortable.Very large bathroom, don't know why, but they're really big. Good shower, good bed.
Disliked: The room was very warm in the morning, tried to adjust the AC but I didn't seem to get it right.Might be my own fault. But that's about the only thing I can think of.

Disliked: Scrambled egg was not has to be.Bed was 1,60m narrow and mattress in our room is too long time in use.

Liked: Clean and cosy, with no view at all!
Disliked: On the website, it says they have parking for customers, but that's not true. We have to park Finsbury Square car park, which takes about 7-8 minutes walk from the hotel. The parking fine was insanely £36 pounds – in which if they disclosed it at the beginning, we would never have booked the hotel!

Disliked: No bath robe unlike other Montcalm properties. Staff completely disinterested in helping out. Shower not fully functioning.
