disappointing to say the least
Liked: Breakfast was great. The host was very friendly. The area is beautiful and privacy was great.
Disliked: The description was not quite a match with reality. It's not a farm. They used to have some horses but now are starting a small nursery. It isn't a farm house. It's a 60s brick two story home that is filled with mostly flea market things marked as antiques. We stayed in the "suite" in the basement. It was a long room with two queen beds, filled with collected items. The ceiling is a poorly constructed black drop ceiling. If you are 6 feet tall, your head will likely hit it. Many of the dropped ceiling panels were pushed in or misplaced showing the plumbing and wiring. The beds were split mattresses, where you could feel the lump of where the two halves met in the middle. It was very noisy as you could hear people walking and talking upstairs. For the amount we were charged, we could have stayed at a much nicer, cleaner place. But there isn't much out there, so you would need to stay closer to Asheville.
