Liked: Everything worked in the room- hot water, radiators, sockets, TV, door locks etc. and it was clean and comfortable. I've stayed in plenty of places at this sort of price range where that's not always the case, so it's nice when all that kind of stuff is hassle free. Also, when I went down to the bar/lounge and asked if there was still food available, the kitchen had closed, but the guy behind the bar went had a word with the chef who was still around, and he sorted me out a lasagne and salad, which was very much appreciated.
Disliked: Nothing comes to mind.

Be aware , your stay...

Liked: We arrived at the property and were told immediately that our booking should have been cancelled by booking .com 3 weeks ago . No apology . We asked what we could do and the lady read aloud the terms of booking .com and then rang a local pub who said they had a room . This was paid for by the Angel at least . The whole incident was really horrible . Happy to say that the Trooper Inn down the road was even better than we could have imagined . Great food , complimentary breakfast and friendly staff . So happy we didn’t get to stay at the Angel .

Good value for money for...

Liked: The room was very comfortable and clean. Tea & coffee were available. There was a shower/bath so you could pleaseyourself. Breakfast was available. The hotel is situated in a quiet area so had a peaceful night's sleep. The decor is pleasing.
Disliked: The WIFI signal is weak. The cooked items on the breakfast need to changed more regularly to prevent from drying out.
