With its own Mediterranean restaurant and just a minute's walk from South Kensington Underground Station The Ampersand is a cosmopolitan hotel set in a large Victorian building. The hotel also has a gym and games room. The pillared foyer has a grand staircase lit by an elegant cascading chandelier. The downstairs bar area gives a sophisticated urban feel with its exposed brick arches and a patisserie menu is available in the hotel's drawing rooms. Bedrooms at The Ampersand are individually decorated with bold contemporary wallpaper designs and original Victorian features. Each room has a mini-bar a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and an private bathroom. Superb

Liked: Clean, comfortable, friendly.Lovely bathroom. Good complimentary tea, coffee, snacks and soft drinks. Bed was lovely and comfy. Great Marshall Bluetooth speaker in the room.Location is terrific. Nice, clean part of town with restaurants and bars close by. Easy walking to the Royal Albert Hall and Harrods. Right next to the museums.

Just an excellent boutique hotel...

Liked: We just love staying at the Ampersand Hotel and this time our room was even better, very spacious with a large and extremely comfortable bed. Staff are friendly and helpful, and we always receive a very warm welcome on our return visits. A very classy, boutique hotel in a very convenient location near to South Kensington tube station.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The staff were pleasant and we apparently had an upgrade to a larger room which was nice, but the rooms need a really good deep clean. It was very dusty and needs a freshen up. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, likely need a refurb.
