The Americus is even more elegant than pictured. The staff were pleasant. The room was clean.

Liked: Clean room and not crowded.
Disliked: Rooftop bar not open.

Check in was quick and efficient; staff was friendly; valet staff were wonderful; room was perfect; will definitely stay here again.

Disliked: Could not get the safe to work in the room.

Nice old hotel; PPL Center was one block away and many restaurants and watering holes all walkable.

Liked: The room was very nice. It was very roomy, had lots of mirrors, mini fridge, huge shower and was in close location to the PPL center. I liked the valet services but was disappointed they didn't tell you there was no parking prior to the visit. All the staff was friendly, kind and informative. Would stay here again!

Liked: Actually, I have sent a review to the Americus. This stay was very bad. The hotel is too old. the facility is not at all as shown in the photos. in my opinion, it doesn't deserve more than 1 or 2 stars.
Disliked: The hotel is too old. the heating wasn't working properly. the room door let's in all kinds of noise and sounds from the corridor. The windows are also too old and does not insulate properly. I have also booked the room with breakfast, but the hotel claimed that breakfast wasn't included. So I had to go into several discussions to prove that breakfast is inlcuded in my booking. And then the quality of food when it came was way below acceptable. I am saying all this out of my experience as a frequent traveler. I am a TITANIUM member with BONVOY MARRIOTT.
