I liked this hotel, more...

Liked: Room was lovely, had a balcony overlooking the street. The street noises of sirens and lorries carry to the room, especially at night time but they are not too intrusive and it is NY so you expect some noise. Shower was great.
Disliked: No breakfast facilities, no food or drink available to buy on the premises that I could see. Bathroom could have been cleaned better - showed lack of attention to detail in an area that many expect to be spotless. Behind the door and around the edges of the floor lacked attention.

cool hip location and comfy...

Liked: I loved the vibrant location, the balcony (&view!) and the bed/pillows were comfortable. I appreciated the helpful and friendly staff and felt safe in the hotel as a solo female traveller.
Disliked: The cleaning was not as good, bur this is a States thing compared to same level European hotels, the room had an overall semi-clean vibe

Liked: It was the only hotel we could find with more than 1 bed in a room. Staff was nice.
Disliked: Super expensive for an outdated hotel, 2 stars for sure. The neighborhood was not cute.

Disliked: Could not get room cleaned, could not get linens, no ice on the floor, no real coffee. Dint say coffee when there isn’t any. Instant doesn’t count

A budget friendly hotel, old...

Liked: The room was comfortable and spotless, with all facilities in excellent working order. The check-in staff were welcoming and friendly. The neighborhood was pleasant, with plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, and bars nearby, the area had a charming, historic feel and was conveniently close to Chinatown. I enjoyed my stay and would return.

Worst hotel I have ever...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Do not book this hotel! After checking in, we realized that the room had not been cleaned. There were loose hairs in the bed! When we informed the reception about this, they came with 'clean sheets' (full of stains), which we also had to change ourselves! What a nice welcome after a 9 hour flight. I mentioned this to the employee of the reception. As a hotel guest, you do not change your own sheets, do you? They were very nonchalant about it. We had to do it ourselves. The bathroom also smelled very much of sewage. The cleaner also did not come to clean some days, despite the fact that we clicked on the 'cleaning service' light every day. The employees are all rude and inexperienced. One night the entire floor even smelled of vomit! The hotel is also located on a busy road, you wake up at least 10 times during the night. It is also located in a fairly unsafe neighborhood. The rooms are very cold, because it is not well isolated. The airconditioner is not an option as it makes so much noise! I have asked for compensation, they pretend to cooperate, but now there is no response at all to my emails. Also pay attention to the deposit as they deducted more deposit than communicated (they couldn’t explain why) and the refund proces as it took them 1 month to refund, and only after I threatened to report them as fraudsters to my credit card company, they could refund it. This hotel really ruins your entire vacation. If you want to save that, do not book this hotel, there are much better alternatives for the same price in New York!
