Nice Hotel in old town...

Good
Liked: Obviously just taken over by Marriott. I was supposed to have a handicap room. No seat in the tub. The hand held shower head would not stay. And water leaked all over the bathroom. Dangerous. The .male at the front desk was rude. And why was there no valet parking? I should have gotten better service the price I paid
Disliked: See above

Nice
Liked: The hotel was beautiful, big room and very comfy beds.
Disliked: It was noisy during weekend because of the location on kings street. The menu for their brunch was limited.

Extremely disappointing, staff were rude...
Liked: Location is great. Walk to shops/restaurants on King St. Parking garage below is nice, you can use their elevator to go straight to this from your room.
Disliked: Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry in the past, I understand how hard employees work and it pains me to write up such a negative review but I feel it is needed. We got there 5-10 minutes before 4pm (check in was 4pm). The front desk clerk asked me if I wanted a double bed instead of a queen (I'd paid for a queen) so I said no, I don't want to downgrade, so I had to wait 15-20 minutes. They seemed overwhelmed because a wedding was going on that night. I said no problem, we'll wait, and she informed me she would text me when my room was available. It's been an hour and still no message, so I went up to the desk. Their response was that it's now ready. The look on their faces seemed to show they messed up, so I asked how long it's been ready. They apologized, said they forgot to message us, and offered us a free breakfast for waiting so long. I wasn't happy, but we moved on. When we get to our room, the TV and remote don't work. We were leaving for an event, so I notified front desk, they said they'd send someone. When we got back to the hotel that evening around 10:30pm, the TV wasn't fixed, replaced, or there was no message from the desk. The front desk seemed to know nothing about it and offered to move us. We agreed. The front desk clerk said she would bring up our new key to our room. After waiting around 20 minutes, no one showed up. Then we went back down and she said she was waiting for our call...not once did she ask us to call. The new key was handed to us, so we went to our new room. The new room shower knob didn't work to switch from bath faucet to shower faucet. There were multiple times in the night that I woke up because of the AC, it was unbelievably loud. I found everyone to be rude and pretty incompetent. There are some things I'd tolerate in a cheap hotel, but this place cost $317 for one night.
