A beautifully located hotel
Liked: 12 of us in total spent the weekend at the Airds hotel for our wedding. Our stay was perfect. The location is beautiful, with rooms having a lovely view of the water and mountains. Rooms and the cottage were spacious and perfect for our families. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.

A beautifully located hotel
Liked: We decided to get married at the Airds hotel due to it’s beautiful location and scenery. Our stay was perfect from start to finish. 12 of us stayed in total and we all had a fantastic weekend. All rooms are spacious and nicely refurbished. Rooms to the front of the hotel have a gorgeous view. The food is lovely and the staff are so attentive. Katie, Lee and Ross couldn’t have done any more for us. Thank you very much Team Airds.
Disliked: Nothing it was fantastic

Altogether a pleasant stay
Liked: Nice quiet position in Port Appin. Well furnished and lovely linens. Good facilities.
Disliked: Was a little tired regarding windows and doors, and the ridiculously complicated tv set was a problem that the staff had to sort out for us.

Fell far short of my...
Liked: The hotel setting is stunning, and our little boat trip across Loch lismore was a highlight. At the hotel, the beds (esp the large double) were very comfortable and we appreciated being able to hunker down and tend the fire in the lounge on the cold evenings. When we travelled further than expected on our 2nd day and wouldn't make it back in time for the dinner we'd booked, the hotel kindly accepted our cancellation without issue.
Disliked: My husband & I stayed here years ago and it has always been a lovely memory of a fabulous experience. I wanted to do the same for my family, but the hotel feels decidedly run down by comparison, despite prices still reflecting those of a much nicer hotel. A particular low point was the visible mould in two of the bathrooms - it looked like it hadn't received a decent clean in some time- and the whole room smelt fusty as a result.I asked for them to be cleaned and one was, although was still mouldy & we didn't use it. The receptionist told us they were waiting for a plumber to sort a leak in the shower, but the issue of a mouldy room shouldn't be passed on to customers. Hopefully some designated work on the plumbing will help future visitors.Dinners on our previous trip had been culinary treats, so I had been really looking forward to eating at the hotel, but on this occasion it was ultimately disappointing. Again, they were quite expensive but the dishes were pretty boring & one dimensional. My pork belly dish was mostly soft, inedible fat and the vegan options I'd been assured there would be consisted of one risotto dish. I can understand that a kitchen may be running with less staff over winter, but one option was a bit embarrassing. I also found the cooked breakfast food quite unpleasant, like it hadn't been cooked long enough.
