Located on the west coast of Scotland surrounded by the scenic countryside The Airds Hotel and Restaurant is a converted ferry inn with free WiFi access and free on-site parking. The property is a 7-minute drive from Castle Stalker and 19 miles from the coastal town of Oban with its ferry connections to many of the west coast islands. Airds is the only hotel in Scotland to have been awarded The Good Hotel Guide Cesar award 2020. Each room is individually decorated and has an private bathroom. Each room features a TV radio with iPod dock and a smart TV while bathrooms have a shower and/or bath. Front facing rooms benefit from the loch view. At The Airds Hotel and Restaurant there is a garden and a terrace both making the most of the loch view while other facilities offered at the property include lounges with log fires and a cozy bar. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings including cycling and hiking and there are plenty of castles and other visitor attractions to be visited nearby. Oban Ferry Terminal is a 36-minute drive away and Ben Nevis is 29.5 miles away. Oban Golf Club is also 40 minutes' journey by car. Glencoe with its many hiking and mountain bike trails is 35 minutes by car.

well worth it

Liked: room was very clean and comfortable and a lovely bathroom with a bath and power shower. breakfast was amazing with real coffee in a real coffee pot. our room even had a balcony which was not stated when booking. no noise from other guests.
Disliked: location is remote. you def need a car. we didn't eat dinner at the restaurant we ate steak at the old inn...about ten mins drive where it is fabulous views of caste stalker

Night away for break of...

Liked: Great peaceful location.Hotels greatest asset - friendly helpful staff.Very comfortable bed.Clean throughout.Nice bar and lounge area.
Disliked: Nothing wrong with property however bedroom could do with being refurbished - especially bathroom.Food in restaurant good but prices a higher end.Mains all priced in range of £30 plus.Allowance for DBB only £40 per head. Insufficient for two courses.

Good time with friends.

Liked: The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious.
Disliked: Initially the room we were given had a smell. We asked to move and were told it wasn’t possible due to a lack of staff. We accepted this then the same member of staff told us we could see our new room. It was very comfortable. We realised the member of staff had pulled out all the stops to help us.

Great chilled break, worth a...

Liked: Warm and friendly hotel, great food and first class service from staff, especially Kate who was on duty both days of our stay.
Disliked: Loved rural setting, great walks and views, weather was wild but still fantastic experience

Great location, but prices a...

Liked: The location is great and the views are worth the travel time.
Disliked: The fact they add a service charge on everything. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. They didn’t offer any cereal options for breakfast which js odd.

Nice but some updating required

Liked: Good quality food at breakfast and a very quiet and peaceful location
Disliked: Whilst the downstairs of the hotel seems to have been refurbished, the rooms require updating, in particular the bathrooms.

Nice and quiet

Liked: Great location and very quiet
Disliked: Restaurant is a bit too formal. Pier house is a lot more relaxed and with atmosphere
