Located in Bloomsbury in London's West End The Academy - Small Luxury Hotels of the World consists of a collection of five Georgian townhouses combined into one hotel. Following a multi-million-pound interior refurbishment by YTL Hotels The Academy - Small Luxury Hotels of the World is now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection. It is located a 5 minutes' walk from The British Museum and Goodge Street underground station. All rooms were created by the award-winning New York “Champalimaud Design” and feature a marble en-suite shower room and bespoke furniture. An extensive Continental breakfast buffet is served daily. A very pleasant and convenient...

Liked: Very nice and comfortable, a feeling of being valued.
Disliked: Stairs! We appreciate how difficult it would be to install a lift. We wouldn’t let this put us off visiting again.I booked a hotel with breakfast; it was disappointing to find the ‘full English’ was an extra £15! I felt a little misled. If you do not include something, please make this absolutely clear at the time of booking.

Disliked: You took a credit card deposit of £30 encase we booked items to our room. We didn't, but three & a half days later, we still have't received our £30 deposit back on the card. It seems very much like, when it suits you, its instant but when it does't suit it's a long time. Shame on you.

Beautiful boutique hotel

Liked: Beautiful hotel, with such attention to detail. Staff were polite and friendly and I felt very relaxed and looked after. IThe continental breakfast was excellent . I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Stayed one night and the...

Liked: Excellent location. Hotel quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely continental breakfast. Luggage store at no extra cost was much appreciated.
Disliked: Slight smell of drains in the bathroom. The air con dripped during the night.
