Superbly relaxing - just what...

Liked: Lovely setting, colourful and cosy interior, relaxing spa, beautiful and relaxing suite.
Disliked: Noisy fan in the bathroom that didn’t seem to have an off switch & the towel radiator didn’t seem to come on, so it was a bit chilly.

Liked: The location is wonderful with fantastic views. The hotel is stylishly modern and beautifully presented.The greens and gardens are perfectly maintained, and the choice, at breakfast, was excellent.The dinner menu, though not vast, offers a variety of options, and we ate in the hotel on two of our evenings there. The fish and fries, on our first evening, was excellent, and we would highly recommend it.The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well.
Disliked: On arrival, check-in was efficient, but after that, every time we walked past reception, no one ever looked up to wish us a "Good morning/afternoon/evening."On the second morning, I requested smashed avocado on sourdough toast topped with poached eggs which I had to send back because, when I broke into the eggs, the white was raw and the yolks, naturally, were cold. The replacement came out rather too quickly and, again, was raw. That also went back, and I gave up after that.I was surprised to see a member of staff, at breakfast, after a couple had vacated their table, spray the table with cleanser whilst the sugar bowl and milk jug were still in the middle of it. Then, rather than put a fresh jug of milk out, ready for the next diners, she topped it up.At most windows, of the hotel, are Venetian blinds and, whilst they look very nice, they do harbour dust and, sadly, they don't look like they have been cleaned for quite some time. It was the same in our room; dusty blinds, cobwebs on the ceiling, and a non-functioning extractor fan in the bathroom. Dogs are welcomed in the hotel - luckily not the restaurant - which meant that non-dog-owning guests were hard pressed to find somewhere to sit in the lounge areas away from dogs.Whilst we enjoyed our meals of fish and fries, it could have been improved by it being fish and chips.
