Liked: A very friendly, welcoming young lady greeted me on arrival. The room was lovely, large, and very clean. Comfortable bed.Loved the location - it was in a very tranquil setting. May not suit everyone as you need transport to drive to restaurants and shops. I stocked up in Oamaru before my stay. A very restful place to chill out. Take some reading material with you. TV reception?
Disliked: Nothing. The title "Resort' could be misleading if you are wanting a swimming pool, gym, or restaurant facilities.For me it was a perfect place to unwind, after a very early morning international flight and drive from Christchurch, before starting my travels and catching up with family in NZ

My only regret is that...

Liked: The serenity, comfort, and history of the property made us feel both lucky and clever to have stayed tgere.
Disliked: The heritage, old trees, and established orchard gave the place a sense of romance unmatched. If only we could get married again, we would do it there. Alas, once seems to have worked.

Liked: The grounds and the building were beautiful and fun to explore. The room was large and very comfortable. Parking was free. The owner was lovely and very helpful.
Disliked: The location was a little remote, meaning there was nothing nearby to walk to and there was no on-site restaurant. I think they will have one, but it wasn't open during our stay.
