Well worth the extra money...

Liked: The hotel is on the beach road, only a stone throw from the "Rotunda", an event venue. It has superb rooms (we even got a free upgrade to a room with sea view and balcony) and the hotel beach is right across the street. The breakfast room is on the roof terrace with great views across the sea. Breakfast is very good for Italian standards, with everything available right up until 11 am.
Disliked: The bathroom shower wasn't sealed well at the bottom causing small "floods" every time we showered.

Top-notch hotel!

Liked: All perfect, had a great stay. Nice welcome, quick checkin and friendly staff. Didn't have time to use the SPA (next time) but room spacious and comfortable, love the living chair, and big bathroom with bathrobe, slippers and all, felt luxury. Slept like a baby.
Disliked: Only "regret" is that there is no in-between in terms of coffee at breakfast: either small & super strong Italian version, or long & weak American (but this goes for all Italy, not only this hotel ;-) )

Perfect hotel for relaxation

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, next to the beach, but the old town and the train station can also be reached in minutes. The view from the fourth floor is amazing. The hotel has its own high-quality beach, for which you do not have to pay extra. There is a Turkish bath in the basement, which needs to be booked in advance, but is very pleasant after a day at the beach. The breakfast is plentiful, excellent, and since it is served on the roof, the view is also beautiful. It's also worth coming to the restaurant in the evening, because the food is delicious.
Disliked: First, we got a room for the disabled on the first floor, which had a toilet so high that our feet couldn't reach the floor, even though I'm not a short person. After we complained, we got another room.
