Telegraph Hotel - Coventry, Coventry

Liked: Nice and spacious; staff are kind and helpful.
Disliked: I don't like the room assigned to the end of corridor - too far and need to walk staircase.

Great location in the middle of everything and close to Empire for shows; rooms lovely; continental breakfast choices very limited compared to Premier Inn continental choice.

Liked: Everything was really good. We had the Yattendon room, extra large room overlooking the Belgrade Theatre, very quiet which was wonderful. Lovely cooked buffet breakfast every morning. Staff extremely helpful, always with a smile. This is the second time that we have stayed and we will be back.
Disliked: Nothing

We had a wonderful wedding...

Liked: The hotel itself is just so lovely. Sympathetically restored with lots of cool nods to the heritage of the building. The staff are honestly amazing, Aaron and Rebecca in particular. Drinks were great and bar staff remembered everyone's orders which was seriously impressive. The garden rooms - we did not want to leave. The Telegraph should consider hiring out those rooms and the courtyard exclusively for events - we definitely would've gone for that if we'd seen it before. All of our guests kept remarking on what a wonderful hotel it is, it really is a hidden gem in Coventry.
Disliked: Improvements: Comfier seating and heaters at the Generators bar, a lot of our older guests were struggling as there weren't many blankets available. The food was slightly disappointing, very dry bread, very dry chicken. Salads were excellent though.

Brief Review of the Telegraph

Liked: The washroom facilities in our room were superb, and the bed was comfortable and roomy.The selection of complimentary tea and coffee was nice, and getting seated for breakfast was an easy process. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try everything as we were in a rush, but there was a good spread to choose from, and what we did have was pleasant enough.
Disliked: Really, the only downside is that there is no onsite parking, though that is to be expected from being located in central Coventry.There are a few car parks around in the area, but of course you'll need to pay.

Liked: The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were a good size. The beds were comfortable. The bottles of water in the fridge were appreciated. The bar and cafe were good.
