It was refreshing to stay...

Liked: Loved the very friendly staff. Bed & Breakfast feel. Great breakfast. You could definitely tell that this is NOT a chain and is independently owned and operated. Wine and cheese hour at 5. Fresh cookies at 8. Much better breakfast. Large room. Close to outlets and restaurants. Closer to other areas of interest also - Manteo, Cape Hattares and Bodie. I will definitely stay there again when I need a room in that area. AND it was the least expensive of any of our rooms! We had been traveling for 5 days prior in other areas. We stayed 3 nights here.
Disliked: The bed was too hard. But that is the only complaint. Everything else was excellent. The best place we stayed over the 10 days we traveled. We stayed here 3 nights.

Liked: We were pleased about all of it. The cost was really good for New Years Eve which is also my birthday and every other place we looked overcharges for that day

Liked: Ocean front room was wonderful. Very clean, good breakfast, wine hour. Location convenient for everything around Nag's Head area.
Disliked: The room descriptions on Booking.com were misleading. There are rooms listed on the side of the hotel as "ocean view" and "pool view" which have minimal side view of ocean. The ocean front side of the hotel has the best views.
