Liked: Central to Sky City, very affordable, was able to book for a separate room for myself. Very helpful advice regarding my personals and safety
Disliked: When using here you must have a passport for your ID (as seem to cater for international travellers/back packers - even though you're a Kiwi) Remember to be aware of your safety and wellbeing and safety as you will be sharing facilities. If you have a room, always lock your door.

This is honestly the worst...

Liked: Very little.
Disliked: The hostel is very dirty, smells bad, and the kitchen is messy & the most humid place on earth.It’s the most expensive hostel I’ve had in NZ, and hand over fist, the worst.They have a nonsense rule of ‘no passport, no entry, no exemptions’ which has seen many guests turned away at all hours.In summary, this is a terrible hostel. Do not stay here.

Liked: Great location, staff were cool. Towels were only $1 to hire.
Disliked: The showers were either cold or took a loooong time to heat up, and if they did heat up they had minimal water pressure. The rooms had locks but the handles were fiddly so it was hard to actually lock the room, so you'd come back to find the room left unlocked by another guest in your dorm. The mattresses were okay but the pillows were awful. Plugs weren't in a good location or they had multiple multi-plug boxes plugged into each other which is a huge fire hazard. People wait outside the door to get let in and you don't know if they actually stay there or not, it says to call reception if that happens, but they need a better form of security!
