SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Susanville

Decent, comfortable stay but lacking...

Liked: Location and voucher for breakfast at the adjacent Lumberjacks restaurant.
Disliked: Lack of soap in the hand wash container, and lack of shampoo or conditioner in the shower. Also, no body lotion was provided.

Liked: The bed was fairly comfortable. The free breakfast was a voucher for the diner next door. So, fresh food and table service was nice.
Disliked: There were some areas that were not clean in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but contributed to a dingy feel. We needed to get water from the vending machine to take on the road,but the whole vending machine was out of stock.

Disliked: The Floor was very dirty my wife who like to walk bare foot got a big surprised looking a her feet, telling the front dest girt about the that she gave us 15% discount that was nice,

Overall, it was a good...

Liked: The complimentary breakfast was plain and small, but fine. The waitress was excellent.
Disliked: I stayed there on my halfway outgoing trip and again on my return trip. The grounds were quite dirty on the first stay. There was dirt and leaves all over the sidewalk and even some squashed cherries that I had to avoid stepping on. On this return stay (4 days later) it was all cleaned up. Also, the TV on the first trip did not work.

We used to love Best...

Disliked: Nice lobby but property generally run down. Pool equipment was broken so closed. Staff behind on room cleaning.
