Overall it was OK

Liked: The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had many choices.
Disliked: Our room was on the 1st floor. On one of the double pane windows the outer window was broken. They didn't clean the glass it was just left there. When I told the front desk they were like, yeah we know about it. The TV speaker was blown, scratchy to the point you could not even understand what was being said. I find it hard to believe that the property was not aware of the problem.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was adequate, the parking was sufficient, and the value was a definite plus.
Disliked: The property is very outdated, the room smelled musty, the shower had very poor water pressure.

Liked: Front desk staff are kind, hotel room was clean, and hotel is convenient 15 min drive from Virginia Tech. Walls are paper thin and we heard conversation in next room until 2am. Some other hotel guests were pretty loud late night. Cleaning staff knocked on our door at 8:45am. Toilet hand flush broke off! Breakfast had yogurt (yay), soggy bagels, and old fruit. It really wasn’t comfortable even for a budget hotel. Will pay more for a nicer hotel next time.

Liked: Came for a volleyball tournament. No fridge or microwave in double room. Was not told only certain doubles have them and mine didn’t. Toilet wasn’t flushing, bathtub backing up 2”, ran out of breakfast stuff early, then we came in late 2nd night ready to shower and go to bed get rested for the next day games and one of beds fell in the floor cheap wooden frame broke. Staff didn’t help at all offered a room that the bathroom light wasn’t working in we didn’t take. Then offered no help with the bed so we picked up mattress and box spring, pulled the frame out in 4 pieces alone, carried it out to hall and placed box spring and mattress on floor so we could try to sleep that night. After a long tiring day on the courts! Then manager said he wouldn’t do anything about it he saw no reason for a discount. We had to go to corporate to get any kind of response and one night taken off.
