Liked: The Lakeview Suite was incredible. Spacious, well laid out, nice sitting area to relax and do puzzles, cozy double sided fireplace, I could go on. The beach is right out from the resort with plenty of rocks for all to sift through while listening to the crashing waves. Location is great for a little drive to Duluth, Two Harbors, or all the way up to Grand Marais with plenty of food options in between. Overall phenomenal stay that we will remember forever.
Disliked: This is so small but impactful; when changing a lightbulb please, I beg you, make sure they’re the same color tone (when in doubt, swap them both out). It gives “roadside budget motel”, which is such a contrast to the rest of the vibe, when you have a burnt orange color light next to a more yellow tone light spotlighting the bed. The devil is in the details and that detail unfortunately made me cringe every time we turned on the lights.

Disliked: Rooms and hotel amenities were very run down. Cracks in floor, areas needing painting, unsealed areas in bathroom, cracks in hot tub and pool. Rooms needing updating for the price.

Liked: Beautiful area and nice accommodations. The hot tub and pool ACTUALLY WORKED!!! Building was quiet and they had a 24/7 coffee/hot chocolate bar in the lobby plus a nice fire going outside that welcomed you with a campfire smell.
Disliked: My only negative was that the restaurant closed at 9pm and you needed to make reservations and there wasn’t enough time slots to accommodate all the guests that wanted to eat at the Resort.
