The location, staffs hospitality, and...
Liked: I stayed for a night, and it was truly amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable. They also had a kitchen area with a microwave and oven, not to mention the large dining table spaces. The facilities and location were superb. I wish I could have stayed more than a night
Disliked: None

Poor
Liked: Staff was friendly. That is about it. The check in and out was seamless.
Disliked: the room was small, the place is very old and in quite bad condition. The hostel is located in a sketchy neighbourhood. Bas was loud and bedsheets smelled like chemicals.

Great few days in Hamburg...
Liked: It’s quirkiness, friendly staff
Disliked: Although it is very close to the station and we were able to walk into the city everyday would probably stay in different neighbourhood next time but would try another supervise hotel

Liked: We really liked the staff at the location. The staff was great, outside of us receiving a "You Paid Too Much" flyer when we checked out, because we had booked through Booking.com. That annoyed me, because now I have this junkmail that I have to get rid of and it's passive aggressive to boot. They have a nice area to play games and eat if you bring in food, they have activities for kid and parents alike, which was nice enough. The courtyard is nice and they do have signs stating at ten PM you have to smoke out by the street, which nobody obeyed and when we would try to sleep there would be people talking and smoking in the courtyard.
Disliked: I didn't like that this was actually a Hostel/Hotel and in a very industrial area of town. There is another hostel two doors down and always had tons of people hanging around. It's also not really too close to any public transportation and the one spot that is kinda a five minute walk away is under construction and you have to climb up four flights of stairs and down three to get to the tram/train lines. The room was small, there is no getting around that. The bathroom was fine, but our shower had half a tile missing, not a huge thing. It was a basic room, we weren't expecting much, but if my boyfriend and I tried to get around each other in the room, one of us would have to go into the bathroom, let the other person go towards the door or climb on the bed, etc. It was small. The bed was okayish, it was two single beds put together, the gap was not very deep, so if you sat in the middle of the bed, your tailbone was hitting straight wood, which was not pleasant when trying to maneuver around the room. Typical large German pillows with no support, but at least the room was clean. We ordered breakfast the first morning and it was definitely not worth the price. 16 Euro per person for a cold breakfast and one wafflemaker that kinda worked. We didn't eat breakfast there again and chose to eat elsewhere.Overall, it was fine for a few days.
