Great Value for the money,...

Liked: I found this hotel last minute. When we arrived, the property was well manicured, and clean. The lobby was very clean and updated, had a very nice first impression. The woman at the front desk was very very friendly and had a great smile to welcome guests with, the man that works at night, not very personable or friendly. The breakfast dining room was very spacious and clean. We booked a king suite and we were very happy with it, with a few minor exceptions but overall for the price it was perfect. The room was clean and semi updated, had a private spacious bedroom which was very nice. It allowed me to stay up late and work while my husband slept without being bothered. The living area was very spacious as well. The unit had a flat screen in each room which was also nice and the bathroom was also very clean. The bed was very comfortable, however, I recommend bring your own pillows, the ones provided are very hard and uncomfortable. The room also has a pull out sofa bed which is convenient. (Must ask front desk for extra linens, not sure if they charge extra) There is a nice large gazebo out front with a standing grill that is available for guests, Which was really awesome, we were able to go to a local grocery store before heading back to the hotel and buy steaks and charcoal instead of fast food. If you are going to Osage Beach or Lake Ozark for vacation I would definitely recommend this place, You get more for the money (as far as room size) which can allow you to spend more on vacation.
Disliked: There are only a few things that were very inconvenient:1. Name of the Hotel is Super 8 Lake of the Ozarks, however, it is a 20 minute drive past Lake of the Ozarks to the next town and no where near the Lake or any water. Does not have any good views, only of a gas station and a storage building. The property has a beautiful maintained lawn in the front, it would be nice to have an outdoor pool or even a playground for kids to have something to do since it is so far away from any activities. Once you are at the hotel you are kind of stuck there bored.2. Hotel states on Google that there is an indoor pool and a hot tub which is why I booked this property. We went and bought all new swim wear only to find out at the front desk that they have removed the pool and hot tub to make room for living quarters. which is fine but that information needs to not be advertised as being available.3. Rooms do not have individual coffee pots which complementary coffee and sugar packs. First hotel I have ever been to that does not offer that. Especially in a King Suite. I travel for my job and stay in hotels weekly, this was very odd that it is not offered.4. Breakfast: We were told that the eggs were very good, we could not comment on that or not. There was a large family eating while we were also there, their son helped himself to all the eggs that were available while others were in line, leaving none for other guests with 3 more hours of breakfast left to go, they were not refilled and just left empty, very disappointing. The biscuits and gravy were not very good, gravy was watery and not cooked properly, biscuits were very dry and tasted as if they were left over and slightly stale. They also offer waffles and microwave pancakes, cereal and muffins.5. Location isn't near any shopping what so ever. No Wal-Mart, no grocery store only a gas station across the street, so make sure you buy what you need and plan ahead to avoid a lot of driving.

Power outage ruined our stay

Liked: I've stayed at this location 4 or 5 times and it is a decent place for a low price.
Disliked: The power went out for over half of our stay. It was FREEZING. We couldn't shower. They didn't have breakfast. And they refused to give a refund. It was terrible customer service. I know the power outage wasn't their fault but it wasn't my fault either.

Liked: The property is currently undergoing renovation and tiles were being installed at the front desk area and the dining room. We were told when we arrived that not all breakfast foods would not be available due to the tile installation over some of the countertops. They still provided a satisfactory breakfast that worked for us, and they were extremely kind and welcoming.
Disliked: The only negative of our stay is the heating/cooling unit in our room made a loud noise when it was running (above and beyond what is normal). It likely needs to be repaired, adjusted or possibly replaced.
