Disappointing

Disliked: the room should be renovated.. i wouldn't book another room there..

Liked: Most of the staff was very kind and helpful, i particularly enjoyed the lady who had a ton of spooky season spirit, she offered to get me a different room when i was unhappy with the room i originally got
Disliked: Alex (i believe his name is) told me information that was adverse to info that i had gotten and asked about 3 times prior, told me that i would have to pay a fee that i was not made aware of neither booking, nor when i emailed, or when i checked in. i didnt have to pay the fee as far as im aware but its extremely poor business practice to lay this on someone 2 days into their stay. Ontop of that the room i was in had roaches, not just the small ones but big ones too and i am terrified of them

House of Horrors

Liked: Absolutely nothing
Disliked: 1. The room smelled stale and musty. 2. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. 3. No room service (trash, fresh towels) 4. Shady characters hanging the hotel. 5. I expected continental breakfast as advertised. 6. The roach that walked in the bathroom when I was trying to shower.7. All of our clothing smelled stale and musty like the room when we left. 8. The light over the sink took like 5 mins to come on after you hit the switch. Who is maintaining this dump??This place will go down in history as the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Definitely overpriced and not worth more than $40/night. I'm just glad we made it out alive.

Liked: It was neat. everything we need was there, My sister enjoy the bed it was comfortable.
Disliked: the only thing I didn't was that the ice machine didn't work. that we had to buy ice for our drinks.overall things was good.

Liked: NOTHING The inclusion of this Super 8 hotel on UK websites while NOT CLEARLY STATING that it is in Durham North Carolina USA and not Durham UK would appear at first sight to be a scam. Using the internet in the UK we were trying to book into the Super 8 Hotel in Durham the World Famous University and World Heritage site City in the UK only to be misled by adjacent entries being given on the websites for a Super 8 hotel in Durham, North Carolina...being identified in the title as "university area NC"...booking in the UK very few people would know that NC is a postcode for a state in the USA known as North Carolina. Super 8 by Wyndham could easily correct this by putting the letters USA in bold letters in the heading. If they are promoting themselves as an international brand one would have thought this was essential. When we arrived after cancelling the wrong site and then booking the correct one and eventually arriving at the Super 8 hotel in Durham UK , the staff told us that they have many customers telling them that they have been confused into making the same mistake, being charged for accommodation on the other side of the Atlantic that they would never use and being refused a refund. Having had this experience we shall never use or recommend the Super 8 by Wyndham brand again. Several days before the accomodation date I spoke on the phone to a manager at Super 8 by Wyndham in Durham North Carolina, having realised my error. He simply told me to report it to Booking.com.Booking.com asked on our behalf several days before the accommodation could be used if a refund for the American booking made as a result of the misleading style of the Durham NC website entries could be arranged. but this was refused by Super 8 by Wyndham. Do Super 8 by Wyndham value their reputation?
