manager was not in, but...

Disliked: When I arrived at 10PM, no one was at the front desk. I was tired and had been driving for 2 hours. I waited for a while. Another person showed up who needed help. After several minutes, I called the number on the desk that said, "If you need assistance, please call the number...". The phone then rang in the office and went on and on. Finally, I spotted on the desk several room keys with invoices. Eventually, I walked behind the desk and found my invoice with the room key. I proceeded to unpack the luggage from my car and put it in my room number 205. Eventually, a young woman showed up. She asked what I was doing and I told her. She said she was going to call the police, that I should not be going behind the counter. I made another trip up and down the stairs. She said again that what I did was illegal and that she was going to call the police. A third time she threatened to call the police, I politely told her that she should have apologized, or left a note when returning, or something. I was really nervous I would have no place to sleep. When I got to unpacking I realized that there was a leaky shower head. It was a bad leak, almost a steady stream. I called the girl up to see and asked if there was another room to which I could move. There was no vacancy, so I could not switch rooms. I put a few towels in the shower to dampen the noise (I have some sleep problems and this was particularly annoying.) When I left the next morning, I asked that the leak be fixed. I was assured it would be. When I arrived later in the afternoon for my 2nd nights' stay, not only was the leak not fixed, but the bed was not made up and there were no fresh towels (which were all soaked from the leak in the bathtub). I was told by a lovely young lady that I had to ask for the room to be made up. When I pay $300. for a room, I expect the bed to be made and fresh towels. Also the leak was NOT fixed. I moved to another room.
