Dirty room & Rude Employee
Liked: Lucas at check in was very helpful but it was just a roof over our heads for the night.
Disliked: The lights in the 'family' room didn't work. Only one light source for a large room with three beds. The kitchenette is basic for any motel. A mini fridge and a microwave. No coffee maker or anything else. While searching the cause for the lights not working (ie, checking sockets and bulbs) we discovered a dirty diaper under the headboard of the main bed in the center of the room. (Housekeeping probably didn't see it because there is very little light even with the window curtain open. )They probably still don't know about it because I didn't get the opportunity to properly check out. As a member, I requested a noon checkout after being up all night with my autistic child. Unfortunately I did oversleep which put me about 10mins behind on being fully out of the room by noon sharp. The lady at front desk came up and knocked at noon. I told her I was almost ready. She then proceeded to stand at the door, knocking on it every 2mins. Mind you thats five separate knocks in a 10min span. She was incredibly rude, scared my son, and almost brought on an anxiety induced seizure in myself, when she could have shown a few moments of grace. Some people have medical conditions and her customer service was the worst I'd ever experienced in a hotel setting. Her actions ultimately led to me forgetting my son's tablet in that very room. I noticed it when we got him buckled and I searched through all our things. I then went in to ask if I could look for his tablet, to which they had complied. However, the room door was standing wide open when I got back up (about 15mins after I had left) and the tablet was nowhere to be seen. Housekeeping said the sheets were the only thing they removed. I am now replacing the missing tablet with no answers from Super 8.The front desk lady should have handled the situation differently.
