For a great stay on...

Liked: Location is perfect- not too far from the fwy and not too far from restaurants and Ferris State.
Disliked: Nothing bad at all to say. It was a nice stay there for the week.

Excellent and Appropriate

Liked: The location was preferred. The room arrangements were superior. Staff was direct, helpful, and informed. The weather had contributed to the location being likable. Dinner was within walking distance.
Disliked: The room was in the middle of the building on the first floor. The exit door was nearby so I guess that there was not a room open near the other exit. I was near the pool on the first floor. The structure of the building did not allow my expectations to be met. The staff was able to place me in a room on the first floor, near the pool, and near an exit door.

You think you won't care...

Liked: Convenient and right next to Ferris.
Disliked: I walked in a bit before 9pm. The person who checked me in was pleasant. I got the room and brought my things in. The room had an odor that intensified when the air/heat ran. The room appeared surface clean but the frequently touched areas are grimey. The towel rack, around the door latch, switches, door knobs. There's a mini fridge and a microwave on the room. There were crumbs in the seal that I could see from the top. The chair was GROSS! It didn't look terrible with the horrible lighting in the room but I could see it with my phone flashlight. The office chair may have been a better option but the seat had something on it. The sheets were/appeared clean but didn't feel as confident in the rest of the bedding. I brought my own pillow and luckily had my dogs fuzzy blanket in the car. I chose to sleep with that for the 2 nights. I didn't feel comfortable walking on the carpet without shoes and didn't feel comfortable enough to sit anywhere else in the room other than on the bed.The coffee pot in the room was dirty and the coffee in the breakfast area is not real. The complimentary breakfast is carbs. Has a waffle maker, cold cereal, bagles, toast, the muffins and sweeter options were a prepackaged type. Yogurt was available. Orange juice and apple juice dispenser. The apple juice was empty when I went in 10 minutes after opening.It was a very uncomfortable stay. I had a lot of time to think about it and I have decided saving $10 - $20 on a room is NOT worth being this uncomfortable when away from home. PLUS I spent $10 on a candle to put in the room because of the smell. So, how much did I save?

Clean, accommodating and friendly stay

Liked: Very clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice indoor pool. Checkout time wasn't super early
Disliked: Nothing. This hotel far exceeded our expectations. Especially for a super 8 hotel
