Pleasant

Liked: Many facilities (shuttle, laundry, tour operator, …). Big pool.
Disliked: Very busy, many people stay long term. Kitchen is always full. Personnel at reception could have been more friendly.

this is a good property...

Liked: they have pool, play areas, kitchen... it's a good option for backpackers, hence the name. the location itself is very quiet but it's near the airport. they have a free shuttle bus every 30 mins back and forth which is very convenient if you want to go somewhere.
Disliked: I brought luggages with me and so there was a difficulty carrying them to the next floor. they have a lot of rooms and mine (with a private bathroom) is found all the way to the end so it was a bit inconvenient.

Mixed Bag

Liked: Pool table, bar and poolside seating were all good. Had a room upgrade at check-in which was very impressive and welcoming.
Disliked: Limited shelf space in fridges and in the kitchen for storing food items. Bins often full or close to capacity led to some backpackers leaving their rubbish on the tables. Did observe a female worker asking a male backpacker to put their rubbish in the bin, however he responded in a disrespectful manner.Had an unexpected visit from my ex and kids, where I was asked to retrieve an item from my bag for them. Because they entered my room, I've been blacklisted from future bookings!!?

Great hostel

Liked: The staff was super friendly and helpful. The property is close to the airport. They have a lot of social activities and a WhatsApp community with the announcements so you don’t miss out. They have the cheapest food and drink prices I’ve seen in my time in Australia and the food was delicious.
