Beautiful hotel in exceptional gardens...

Liked: Amazing property, exceptionally manicured gardens and vegetation. The trees are simply majestic and worth seeing! Interesting Japanese architecture. Both restaurants have a nice view of the gardens. Excellent valet parking and bell boy services. The bed was very comfortable and the quality of the linens, bed coverings were exceptional. Bathroom and toiletries elevated quality. There are renovations in the hotel which is always a positive thing.
Disliked: Restaurants are overpriced in my opinion. There are not enough vegetarian and gluten free options. During dinner and breakfast we were charged for things we didn't consume. When asking for vegetarian food we were charged as if we had consumed steak or salmon. With the exception of the Sushi and maki options, the food was bland and uninspired.The reception staff and management could be friendlier and more accommodating. There should be complimentary coffee in the room, like in every other high- end hotel I have ever been to.
