Liked: It has a great neighborhood, good staff, and a decent breakfast. The hotel was very clean and had an overall good vibe.
Disliked: Some of the latches in the door/windows were broken. I wish they had a central A/C and covering living room as well. It can get quite hot in the daytime.

Good location, residential feel on...

Liked: Room insulation was literally non-existent. We could hear everything our neighbors did; the windows and doors had gaps, resulting in noise. They are (and have apparently been) in the process of “upgrading” air conditioning, so there were three units in the room: one wall mounted that didn’t work (yet), one noisy floor cooler that stuck into the window, and one noisy floor fan. So it was stuffy, and/or hot and/or more noisy.The windows face into the courtyard, and so unless you close the shades, you have no privacy. Therefore, no natural light. No coffee/tea maker or fridge in the room. No side table for one of us in a king bed, but there could be at least a shelf of the furniture was reconfigured - the furniture and bathroom is dated. Minimum towels - only one hand towel, because only one ring to hang it from. Breakfast buffet was very plain - nothing special. I had a City Express Marriott booked, and cancelled it for this because of “location.” The location is nice; it’s green, and an easy walk to trendy Polanco, where we might not have bothered to go if we’d stayed in what actually would have been a more central location (on Reforma). I think I’d make a new rule for myself: do Bonvoys in big cities. You can rely on the quality, usually cheaper, and they are not going to put one in too horrible of a location.
