Suite Dreams Inn by the Beach, Key West

Key West Vibes a plenty

Liked: Nice stay here recently. The property had a great laid back feel to it, full of Key West charm throughout. We liked that it wasn't a huge property, but had plenty of amenities for our stay. Ice machine was INOP which was a bummer for trying to keep drinks ice cold, but freezer and mini fridge were operational. We love good coffee, so had to travel to get it (the coffee on site just wasnt our kind of coffee...it may be yours). Host(s) were helpful and explained everything in detail upon our checkin. Loved the little nook we had right outside our door (Old Town Suite). Nice touch to have basket of snacks for us to enjoy as well.
Disliked: Little off the beaten path if you're looking to stay near Duval St. It IS walkable, but about a 25 minute walk one way. We stayed at another location closer to Duval and just enjoyed being closer to places that we could walk to for food, drinks, entertainment. Bed (in the Old Town Suite) a little firm for our liking.

Exceptional

A nice location.

Liked: The location is in a quiet neighborhood, away from Duval Street, yet close enough to walk or bike there. The grounds are kept up nicely.
Disliked: The owner contacted my guests for payment even after I asked him not to as I was going to make all the payments. He strongly preferred NO credit card use and texted us about using alternative payment methods. It was a bit annoying. Our room had an overwhelming scent of some kind of air freshener and poor ventilation. The manager told us it was cleaner and the scent would go away - it didn't. We had to keep the wall unit air conditioner off a night as it was loud.

Would recommend. We would certainly...

Liked: Great location near beaches, shops, restaurants. Very helpful owner offering plenty of information and local knowledge. Unit had everything we needed for a relatively short visit.
Disliked: Lack of electrical outlets. Extension cords inadequate when running microwave and coffee maker at same time, for instance.

Nice 3 night stay in...

Liked: Great location where we could walk to most things we wanted to do; host was friendly and helpful; nice selection of fresh fruit and snacks available;
Disliked: Air conditioning- we were here in January; can’t imagine ac would keep room cool in summerFees - learned after booking that had to pay through Venmo or pay credit card fees

Liked: We love the garden area and the location is quiet, while also close to Duval St. and the beach.

a place to sleep

Liked: the bed was comfortable and we used the iron. thank you.
Disliked: many hidden fees including an additional processing fee with credit card payment. host would not communicate through booking app and would text at all hours requesting cash payment. walls were paper thin, we could hear our neighbors very easily. the room was tight even with just two guests in the room and towels were scratchy. shower water temp was unpredictable, seems to be an issue with the faucet.
