Great stop over! Will stay...

Liked: Have stayed at the Sturt Motel a few times now on different occasions. We were allocated room 6 this time and it was super spacious twin share with a gigantic bathroom! Would very much suit people with limited mobility, with just a small step into the room initially. Clean and comfortable, country hospitality. Staff on the phone are very helpful and it was a breeze to check in late at night. Lots of parking options too.
Disliked: Nothing! Great value for money. Good location will stay again.

Liked: Very comfortable and clean.
Disliked: No information from staff at about where any good restaurant or takeaways or anything like that could be helpful. I got help from the garage attendants

Great stay at The Sturt

Liked: Easy check in. Great room with a brand new bathroom. Staff were lovely to deal with. Good pool. Top side of town if you can imagine that but easy to get everywhere in The Hill. Quiet at night. Recommended.

Liked: Quiet well equipped and spacious room.
Disliked: The office was unattended. We rang the contact number to find the proprietor had no record of our booking or payment. (This was possibly due to Booking.com technical glitch.) We were given a prompt apology and upgrade which we appreciated.

A great hotel unfortunately marred...

Liked: Rooms and facilities (particularly swimming pool) are very good. Free WiFi from caravan park opposite was fair.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the reception was not staffed: checking in had to be done over the telephone. After 20 minutes of being on hold (and cut off twice), the lady answering the phone asked for credit/debit card details, driver's licence number and email address. When questioned why these were necessary, she became quite aggressive and twice threatened to cancel our booking, leaving me and a 14 year old potentially out on the street. One other customer staying in the same hotel confirmed that the same lady had been quite aggressive with him too. The whole experience very much negated the great stay in the hotel itself: it left a rather sour taste in the mouth.
