Liked: Location was good for us. check in was easy. The fridge and microwave worked fine, the bathroom and sinks were fine. We did not use air conditioning or heating.The intentions of the room furnishing and the interior was good, however...
Disliked: The place got really cheap since our last stay in there 7 months ago. the kitchen was totally under-stuffed - only one fork and 2 spoons, one out of two mugs was chipped, no kettle, only one little pouch of regular coffee, good thing we brought our own kitchen supplies. Pillows are really bad and the bedding cleanness was questionable, super thin towels and only 2 tiny soap bars.So, it was not that expensive but still not cheap, so I don't think we paid for what we got...

Disliked: The sofa was old and stained with lots of worn and torn upholstery. I wouldn’t sit on it. Bed sheets were old and stained. Towels had stains. Carpet had stains. Walls were dirty with stains.

Liked: The outside itself was nice. You could tell it was once a beautiful building. The rooms were designed perfectly.
Disliked: There were baby roaches in the room, not a lot, but it was still an inconvenience. The window screen was pushed out & I wasn't able to pull it back in. The room phone wasn't working. The kitchen counter was greasy.

Frustrating. I feel I overpaid...

Liked: It was ok. The staff was nice
Disliked: Where do I start… our A/c didn’t work- maintenance man came by and said he had another unit he could bring in. In the meanwhile he had a fan we could use. So it was stuffy and uncomfortable to sleep. The pool /jacuzzi facilities were closed - no one told me that they would not be available during our stay. Very inconvenient!! There was no soap in the kitchen to wash dishes no shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Not even any warm water let alone hot water anywhere. The place was further from the beach and downtown Carlsbad than advertised.
