Disappointing

Liked: Clean, nice wooden floor for dog, and convenient location!
Disliked: We recently stayed at this hotel for the second time and were disappointed by the inconsistent communication regarding late checkout charges.In the morning, I called the front desk to inquire about extending our checkout to 4 PM so that our dog could stay in the room while we were out, as it was too cold for her to wait in the car. The staff member I spoke with checked with someone else and confirmed that the extra charge would be $89+tax.However, when we returned to the front desk at noon to pay for the extension, a different staff member informed us that, according to hotel policy, the half-day rate only applied until 2 PM, and a 4 PM checkout would be charged as a full day.This miscommunication was frustrating and could have been avoided with clearer internal coordination. Given that this was our second stay, we expected a smoother experience. We hope the hotel improves its communication among staff to prevent similar confusion for future guests.
