Liked: We had sunday lunch which was really good, just enough room left for dessert which was also lovely. The wine list is a little limited although the wine we had was really nice. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel the following evening which was just as good. The staff are absolutely lovely from front to back, day and night. The hotel has a really warm homely feel to it. The lounge area with the fireplace was really cosy and comfortable, we nearly fell asleep there. The room was very well presented and i have never stayed in a room so clean. The attention to detail is first class.

Liked: Very pleasant traditional hotel in a superb location. I was greeted on a Sunday evening by a full peal of bells from the church next door. Some might find that disturbing, but it was so marvellously English. I grew up in a town with bells twice every week, so very nostalgic. Attractive resident's lounge with open fire. Competent restaurant – straightforward good cooking. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean room and bathroom.
Disliked: Nothing. All very good.

Disliked: We had a little problem with parking when we arrived but they sorted it out immediately.
