Lovely setting great for dog...

Liked: Setting was lovely. Dog friendly space enough for dogs to stretch and thoughtful provisions for dogs. We felt it was like a posher Travel lodge rooms were basic but fair.
Disliked: Dreadful stench from drains in corridors walking to our Twin room (27) small room but passable for one night Beds on harder side. Duvets on small side. Thick layer of dust on table base which was inexcusable miss from house keeping. Couldn’t get soap out of dispenser or fathom how it worked. Restaurant: server was attentive friendly etc, but the food was awful very limited menu. I ordered Linguine dish received spaghetti that was unacceptable. Asked for side order of bread received griddled sourdough bread covered in oil. Truly disgusting. My friends biriyarni was also offensive she couldn’t eat the sauce inedible. I did make the comments at the time that the “chef” was a lazy person having a laugh and obviously in a mood with his job… we declined dessert as we had been offended enough. i try to be light hearted about complaints as appreciate hospitality is a hard job. Trying to get into the health suite was very difficult as all doors are locked and pass keys required. Of course no one around to let us in. The stench of drains was overpowering going to health suite! The pool and spa pool were nice. Water was lovely. But grid facing the spa was thick with dust. The on button for the spa is 5 feet away from spa bath very irritating as you have to get out after a cycle to switch on, hardly relaxing. Shower cubicles were tiny. Hard to work out how to use the shower. Water very soft. No private cubicle to change the available benches for changing were very small two people changing would be packed.

I was very disappointed with...

Liked: Good location, quiet, nice bathroom
Disliked: Lack of staff, having to phone from different desks to be served, my room was cold and i could not find any heating control, changing rooms for pool had used towels, old pants and socks on the floor and around sinks.

No staff, long waits, unclean,...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: One member of staff in the hotel on the reception, bar and leisure facilities. He was very rude, and later when I asked for clean spoons instead of helping me, he told me to go and find some in the restaurant Long waits due to this to check in, order drinks and attend swimming. I actually answered the phone in the swimming area as I thought this was a return call from reception and it was an external customer. Charges for swimming pool despite jacuzzi being out of order and unclean floor/changing rooms. Paid for breakfast and was told they serve until 10 was closed by 9am when I went down with two very young children so I needed to get breakfast elsewhere. In the room firstly when I went to unlock the door it was open for anyone to get into, the spoons and cups were dirty, bath was dirty, and strange banging noise in one corner of the room from the ceiling all night. I ordered a J20 and the bar man (same guy as everywhere else) could not use a bottle opener so I showed him) just don’t stay here, not even for low budget get a travelodge
