A beautiful location but does...

Liked: Location was fantastic, and the ambience of the place.
Disliked: The smell of sewerage coming through the window. We didn’t appreciate the thick smoke haze and the smoke smell in our room.

Not recommended. Give this B&B...

Liked: What's there to like? What breakfast? Certainly not the cook-it-yourself breakfast. We left the raw produce (eggs, bacon) untouched.
Disliked: We paid $735 for accommodation for three nights from 22 Apr 2024 but could stand staying only one night. The room was dusty and had an unpleasant odour, while the bathroom and jacuzzi had seen better days. Quite shocking were the rubber mat for jacuzzi/shower recess and the stopper for the wash basin. Both were blackish and mouldy (see photos attached). The host expressed surprise that we decided to leave after staying only one night. When told of the disgustingly dirty bathtub floor mat and the basin stopper, he exclaimed: Is that all? And he claimed that he had never had a complaint before. Well, in fact an American couple had earlier commented on a review posted on 26 Oct 2023 that the place needs a good professional cleaning, and breakfast needs improvement. That is to put it mildly. No doubt being an outwardly affable host makes it harder for staying guests to confront the host face-to-face. Not so for us.

A welcoming and relaxing stay.

Liked: These little guest units are set close to the National park with bush views. The proprietor was super helpful and friendly and provided a lovely broad choice for breakfast. We were greeted with a fire already lit and a bottle of champagne in the fridge which was lovely. While the property was close to the bush, it was only a few minutes drive from everything in town.
Disliked: Not much, could have done with a bit of pillow choice.
