perfect location and good value...

Liked: Amazing location just several steps from both center and Castle. The lady at the reception was very helpful (Wendy). The room was basic ,but it was expected considering the price
Disliked: The most critical issue: the room was on the top floor with a skylight that couldn’t be opened, there was a technical smell and very hard air with lack of oxigene in the room and it was impossible to get fresh air or ventilate. I couldn’t sleep well and kept waking up from a lack of air. Minor details: outlets and bedside table were located only near one of beds, the ventilation was noisy, and the walls had very high sound permeability. There was only one hanger and one chair.

I was locked out.

Liked: I was stuck in Inverness traffic so it turns out you closed checking time. Nobody answered the phone and I had to sleep in my car. Not before driving another hour to a safe spot in a layby. Six hours drive and one hour from Orkney to be locked out.
Disliked: Lack of answerinv the phone or anyone to let me in passed chckin in time. Hostels are supposed to be for people who do not have the mo ey to stay in hotel. Which I did not so slept in my car exhausted.

First and last visit to...

Liked: Parking availability as not in centre of town. Large kitchen and dining area
Disliked: Bare breeze block walls painted harsh dark blue made me feel I was in a prison cell. Was unaware towels not provided and was late and ready for shower so unable to Get from reception.
