A very smart hotel in a cracking setting in centre of Stirling; staff were very nice, so was breakfast. Would go back without a second thought.

Liked: The building itself and public areas were great.
Disliked: The bedroom we stayed in was a bit tired with worn carpet and broken door inside bathroom.

Fantastic place to stay in...

Disliked: Slightly confusing layout. Better signage may help

Friendly but disappointing

Liked: Breakfast and location are both great
Disliked: The room was very tired and dated. Certainly not the comfort levels I'd expect for the price. The bathroom was clean but was showing significant ware and tare with staining throughout. The outside of the building has a lot of character. But the rooms are dated, tired and bland.

Exceptional

Liked: Lovely experience staying at this hotel. Staff were so friendly with my son and he loved the family room. The bunk beds were a great touch for a family room. Breakfast was great, especially for buffet style.
Disliked: All perfect!

Great couple days

Liked: Staff were helpful and friendly, bed was comfy, room was clean, shower was good, facilities were great, swimming pool was not to busy, clean and not to cold, we went for neck, shoulder and back massages, these were good. This hotel is lovely, though it is on a steep hill (town at the bottom and Sterling Castle at the top) plenty of bars to keep you hydrated on way up lol, we would come back and stay again.

Was fine for a one...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Paper thin ceilings. Heard every footstep through the night. Decor was outdated and needed repaired in various areas. The “swim” teacher who runs her private business from the spa was very cheeky and disrespectful towards paying guests and I believe the hotel should review the terms of her contract as she reflects badly on the actual staff who work there, who were very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was good however more variety of cold breakfast and fruits would be good.

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Poor

Liked: The room is spacious, the decor in the public places are good.. carparking is easy.
Disliked: Dirty housekeeping. Very dim and dark hotel. Unworkable in the bedroom, and they took the free standing lamp globe off to save electricity. TV control broken. Toilet thrusting does not work every time. The sitting room in the lobby is depressingly dim at night.
