A very smart hotel in a cracking setting in centre of Stirling; staff were very nice, so was breakfast. Would go back without a second thought.

Liked: The building itself and public areas were great.
Disliked: The bedroom we stayed in was a bit tired with worn carpet and broken door inside bathroom.

Friendly, good value. Excellent cuisine.

Liked: Centrally located. Staff very friendly, especially the young long haired receptionist (and helpful) who agreed to take my birthday cake for my girlfriend and the two lovely waitresses who sang happy birthday along with me after our meal.
Disliked: Jacuzzi was cool until mentioned then it was perfect.

Has been better

Liked: Location, gluten free breakfast, polite staff. Good showers
Disliked: Cutting back on basics no e.g bath mat, tiny towels, only hand/body soap in bathroom. Bottled water for one person and tea supplies not restockedRisk of cross contamination at breakfast buffet as serving utensils no clearly allocated to single item type.

Good hotel, comfortable, historic. Skip...

Liked: Old style in good condition. Close to Main Street and castle
Disliked: Breakfast was terrible. Dried fried eggs, cheese slice and salami curled up so dehydrated. Grilled tomatoes even dry. Chef standing by made it even more uncomfortable. Should have made less food and continued to have fresh food for the whole period of the buffet time. All of the pastries were also undercooked and cold and doughy. The only good array was berries and yoghurt however they were likely frozen and prepared.
