Stirk House Hotel & Restaurant overlooks the historic Ribble Valley in the heart of rural Lancashire. Seasons Restaurant at Stirk House features menus inspired by the remarkable Lancashire landscape with ingredients sourced from local artisan producers or foraged from our own 22 acres of grounds. It is a 16th-century manor house surrounded by picturesque views of Pendle Hill the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales. The building still retains a magnificent stone-arched fireplace original ceilings and a priest hole. All of the 33 bedrooms at Stirk House reflect a commitment to comfort and combine character style and luxury. Visitors can expect rooms equipped with all the customary modern conveniences with the addition of tea and coffee-making facilities. Golf fishing and hot air ballooning are all available in the Ribble Valley. The 12th-century Clitheroe Castle is 15 minutes' drive from the hotel and the Yorkshire Dales can be reached in 20 minutes by car.

Lovely hotel.

Liked: Lovely staff. Very clean, comfortable and huge room. Excellent food (Sunday lunch and breakfast). Communal areas were calm and comfortable.
Disliked: Not a great view from our bedroom window, but the room was lovely and the old part of the hotel and grounds are beautiful.

Very pleasant stay.

Liked: Bedroom was lovely but I thought £251 for one night was quite expensive . Breakfast and the catering staff were lovely . WAN and the cook were really nice and friendly .
Disliked: It was a bit of a pain attending a wedding and then leaving before the meal to check in take things to the bedroom.

We will be back for...

Liked: Everything is just so nice. Beautiful building and grounds. We had the basic room which was really lovely. The reception rooms are welcoming with a lovely log fire. Food in the restaurant wasn't cheap but very nice. Finally the staff, these guys are the best, friendly, helpful and always smiling.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike during our stay. It is a popular wedding venue, there was a wedding the day we left, and I wouldn't like to be there then but that's only because I don't like busy,noisy places.
