Hotel Description
Located on Skeppsholmen island in Stockholm this STF hostel is split between a late 1800s ship called Af Chapman and former navy barracks called Hantverkshuset. Moderna Museum and East Asia Museum within walking distance. Guest can choose from guest rooms or ship cabins. The guest rooms located in the main building feature large windows high ceiling and views of the water or park. Some of the ship cabins have a small sitting area and a small window with a city view. Both options include access to shared bathroom facilities. Guests can enjoy a traditional Swedish breakfast buffet. The on-site café serves light meals. There is also a shared kitchen where guests can prepare own meals. During June to August guests can relax on the sun deck on Af Chapman. The Östasiatiska Museet Bus Stop is 492 feet from the hostel. Kungsträdgården Metro Station is 10 minutes' walk from STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen.

Charmin, comfortable, and unique lodging on the waterfront, conveniently nearby to downtown Stockholm. Very friendly and hospitable staff.

Liked: Location; hospitality; comfort; amenities.
Disliked: Not that bad, but could have used an elevator from the ground floor.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable

Liked: The location was easy to get to, and very quiet and peaceful and comfortable. The place was very clean and well maintained; the room was clean and comfortable and warm; the bathrooms were always clean, and the kitchen was nice to have access to. Everything felt very safe and secure.
Disliked: This is not a social hostel. There were a few other people in the shared dorm room, but no one spoke to each other. It would be great if the hostel organized some activities for travelers who would like to meet other travelers and socialize a bit. Some of the staff members were very nice and friendly, but some other staff members were not friendly at all.

Superb

Liked: Nice Hotel. Had a large room in a very quiet area. Friendly staff and we were allowed to stay til 5 PM in our room.
Disliked: Nothing to complain. Nice and affordable place, when staying in Stockholm

Nice location vs. poor breakfast

Liked: The location is great. We were able to walk relatively quickly to any place in the central part of the city. The room wasn't big, with 2-level beds. And there was no private bathroom. But on the other hand, the price was quite good.
Disliked: The breakfast was ... let's say, humble. Honestly, I don't remember when last time I saw such a poor choice. Of course I won't complain on shared bathroom, cause I selected this option intentionally to get the good price. But one more thing worth mentioning - there were just 3 really small shelfs where you can put your closes and other things... in a room for 2-3 persons.
