Good

Liked: Location is perfect, across from a great beach and just downstairs you have heaps of restaurants and bars.
Disliked: Beds are very hard, and linen not good quality.

Fabulous, sea front location with...

Liked: Really appreciated change of rooms to accommodate us in two separate beds as travelling for work. Friendly staff, large rooms, comfortable beds, old-world charm (incl. some noise in pipes and a wait for water to get to temp), great atmosphere on the deck for an afternoon wine looking over to the sea, plenty of dining options nearby (Japanese and Gourmet Pizza is very good). Short drive to Hill & Ridge (Red Hill) Markets, plenty of parking (stairs up to accommodation). Fabulous location.

Great location and easy walk...

Liked: Great location, beach is directly opposite, and all shops are within walking distance. The room was large, with a bar fridge.Large shower had lots of pressureStaff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the housekeeping staff
Disliked: The rooms are not cheap which is understandable given the location, but the hotel is quite old and needs a good clean up, especially paint and plaster in the rooms.Unfortunately, the bathroom floor and the toilet were not very well cleaned. (Maybe more cleaning staff required)The mattress was badly stained, and the bed was extremely noisy. Just moving or rolling over sounded like the bed was about to collapse

Liked: Great location opposite beach and on main strip, everything you need at your doorstep

Disappointing

Perfect location, needs some maintenance,...

Liked: The location is amazing, right on the main street full of restaurants and across the beautiful beach. Even if on the weekend the main street is packed, the place is very quiet.
Disliked: The room is pretty old and needs some maintenance works (e.g. out of 6 light bulbs, only 2 worked, the faucet in the sink makes a very loud noise if not opened properly). The annoying part is to actually find the reception... to check in in the afternoon we had to go to the pokies next door (note that kids are only allowed in the entrance!) And to check out in the morning we had to go to the restaurant downstairs... it's just not clear at all. Same with the parking... it's at the rear and you have to drive next to a drive through bottle shop, you wouldn't know if you didn't ask first!
