Liked: Super friendly service! I forgot my wallet when checking out. It wasn’t until hundreds of miles later that I realized I had left it behind. Elenora, Harley, and Rick were so kind to send my wallet overseas. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our visit and...

Liked: Duff Green breakfast and tour was exceptional and was included in our reservation at Steele Cottage and only a block or two away. As well as the great Walnut Inn across the street was excellent. Communication via text with Steele was very good. No problems
Disliked: They were out of coffee cups both days. Only had lids. Everything else was fine. It wasn't quite what I expected for the price for 2 nights but it was good.

Beautiful pre civil war accommodations...

Liked: Pre civil war and civil war history. Beautiful mid 1800’s style. Family breakfast.
Disliked: Liked all.

Liked: The historic cottage itself was amazing and the tour of the big house with breakfast was the best.

Disliked: The description on Booking.com is misleading. It advertises a pool - but the pool is not at the house but at a large house 10 mins walk away. The description should also make clear that breakfast is served at the other large house 10 minutes walk away. Having said that the other house (The Duff House) is a spectacular mansion house and a pleasure to visit.

Liked: Good location. Room was good size. Private.
Disliked: I wasn’t clear if parking was allowed on the street. Parking in back was challenging, with many mossy steps and no handrail. Shower mildewed. Towels very thin. No soap for shower. Trash still in bathroom can upon arrival. No window covering in bathroom. Many empty k-pods in living room, but only 1 that was unused. Glasses dusty. Bed made with just a sheet. Blanket in closet was not full-sized. And, it is not a bed and breakfast if you have to drive to breakfast.
