Good hotel with a close...

Liked: The hotel is located just a short walk from Veltins Arena, which was the main advantage for us since we attended the game at the stadium.Rooms are a bit outdated, but very clean. Good breakfasts.
Disliked: There is nothing around the hotel, only the stadium

Liked: Location to Medecus rehab facility
Disliked: I was here for a major back surgery one week before being switched from hospital to this hotel for rehab. THE BEDS ARE INIMAGINABLY TERRIBLE GOR SERIOUS BACK SURGERY PATIENTS!! No support and terrible soft. Like swimming in the bed. Bending and twisting the spine at absolutely the wrong time! And the a/c does not work! I switched to a better hotel with better beds 15 minutes away. I was and still am livid!

Liked: Location was more than ideal for Veltins-Arena and room had everything needed and more.
Disliked: Our room wasn’t until 6pm luckily we arrived slyer than planned.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was big.
Disliked: We stayed at this hotel because we have a concert at arena. We arrived at morning and just go to check in desk to get info. But the person in there saw and directly told us to come later. No smiling, no information. Usually they are cehcking our passports and tell us that we can wait there, they can get our backpack etc. Later on we went there again. They have check in at 15:00 but there are so many people because of the concert and everyone was waiting in fornt of the desk at 14:30. I asked them if all the rooms are not ready because there were so many people waiting and go to concert, it would take time to check in. The personnel told me that 'I know it will take so much time, all the rooms are ready but you need to wait half more hour'. Clearly it is an exceptional situation and they were not helpful at all. Actually they were so rude. This is a really expensive hotel but you can get a more polite service at cheap hostels. They have a tea bags at room but no kettle to make the tea, so what is the point to put the tea bags in there, really dont understand it. Also they have the same soap for hair and body at the bathroom. Such an expensive hotel but they cannot provide a shampoo and body lotion separately. The pillows were so thin and were not comfy. The tram and the bus station nearby the arena. So it wont be my choice for the next time.
