Liked: The views from the bedroom over the river Maas were great. The room was tidy and clean. There was safe bike storage.
Disliked: The room was small with minimal furnishing. The on site restaurant was closed. The room was expensive.

Liked: Perfect location for me as it is on walking distance to my work. Love the room and its view, the good bed -always sleep well- and the fact that is is really quiet. Have not used the breakfast.Also love the fact that families and young people are around with great positive energy.
Disliked: You have to be aware that it is a youth hostel which does not have a regular restaurant. So, when large groups are there or the place if fully booked, they serve a buffet dinner. It's probably good, but finished is finished. As this was the case on all my evenings, one time I could order a pizza (not recommended) and once the nachos (very nice). But, five minutes walk further up, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants if you need something else.

Calm and pleasant hostel stay...

Liked: The location of this hostel is perfect, very close to the city center, a 10 min walk, near the river.I stayed there during the carnival celebration, and it was calm and quiet. I loved that.Staff were very friendly. The room was clean, new, and convenient with a locker. A big nice common area. I had a pleasant first time hostel stay!
Disliked: Everything was excellent! I only would have appreciated that the check-out time would have been 11 am instead of 10 am, but that is just personal preference.
