Liked: Upon arrival and after making the request for early check-in, the front desk staff stated there were no rooms available. Next in line, another parent from our hockey team asked if he could he could check in. She checked them and several other members of our team in. The only difference i booked through Bookings and they booked directly with the hotel. The room was clean, and the beds were decent but not great. When I asked for housekeeping to come and make the pullout bed, they refused and told me this is my responsibility. The sheets are in the closet. I had to ask for extra blankets twice and finally picked them up at the front desk myself. The facility looked like it was under repair with several places where the drywall was patched and looked like it had been left for months. The hotel overall is very dated.

Overall, it was exactly what...

Liked: Overall it was a good stay. The suite was exactly what we needed for our family of four. It was nice to have the breakfast included and they even had a little social hour at supper time which was kind of like a complimentary supper. The pool was great, although no shallow end for the kids but they had fun anyways. The location was right off the highway so it made it easy to access, and it was close to all the things we wanted to do in the city.
Disliked: There were a couple issues with the room, but nothing terrible. The one bathroom sink had some off and on drainage issues and the TV in the main living area had a damaged pixel causing a green line. Neither of these issues were detrimental to our stay as there was a TV in each of the bedrooms and other sinks to use for brushing teeth/washing hands. They were also in the middle of renovations, which I wasn't notified about ahead of time, however, it also didn't interfere with the stay since all the amenities were still accessible and the noise couldn't be heard in our room.

Disliked: We were suppose to have 3 beds. Only got 2 beds. The tv had no internet so could only watch cable TV. The 3rd TV didn't have a remote. Couldn't use it. The staff didn't come to clean our room or stock us with towels. We were there for 2 nights with 5 people
