It turned out to be...

Liked: The location was convenient to downtown, and the room was very spacious.
Disliked: The parking lot at the hotel entrance was very slushy due to leftover snow. The roads were poorly maintained, and the surrounding area was messy and hazardous, especially at night because of poor lighting and the presence of black ice. Additionally, the room had an unpleasant odor that I believe came from the refrigerator.

Great place to stay and...

Liked: Nice clean rooms and facilities. Breakfast was good. Everyone was nice.

We would stay here again...

Liked: Excellent location and very friendly staff. Close to stores and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes (minus a very broken mug). Each room was very spacious.
Disliked: Floors appeared to not have been swept or vacuumed, so we asked for a broom to sweep the kitchen area and a vacuum to do the carpeted areas. We made sure to let the front desk staff know, so housekeeping can do a better job. This was our 2nd time staying and we did not have this problem last time. The furniture could stand a deep cleaning, too.
